Who We Are
We’re a family that finds joy in the outdoors — where every trail, campsite, and sunrise becomes a new story to share. From weekend hikes to campfire nights, nature has always been our classroom and playground. Through Scouting, we’ve learned that adventure isn’t just about distance — it’s about connection: with the land, with others, and with ourselves. Together, we explore, volunteer, and grow, carrying the spirit of “Be Prepared” in everything we do. Our hope is to inspire others to step outside, discover their own paths, and see the world with wonder — one adventure at a time.

“Podcasts & Community”
I’m someone who believes that the best stories begin outdoors — under open skies, around campfires, and in the company of others. My journey with Scouts Canada has taken me across trails, camps, and communities, where I’ve had the chance to help others discover their own sense of adventure through programs like Learn to Camp and youth-led initiatives across the country.
Beyond Scouting, I share stories through two podcasts: Manejando con Gustavo Hinojos — a Spanish-language show featuring conversations and interviews — and Gustavo in Canada, where I explore life, culture, and experiences as an immigrant in this beautiful country. I was also part of the third season of Latinos in Canada from Latincouver, and my podcast has been featured on Generación FM.
Whether through nature, Scouting, or storytelling, my goal is the same — to connect people, spark curiosity, and inspire others to explore the world around them.
Writing & Creative Projects

Storytelling has always been a big part of who I am — whether around a campfire or on the printed page. Over the past year, I’ve been working on my first children’s picture book, a story inspired by nature, family, and the adventures that shape us. The book is now in its final stages, and if all goes well, it will be published very soon — the second proof is already on its way!
I’m also the creator and editor of the digital magazine Scouting in Canada, which shares stories, tips, and inspiration for Scouters and families across the country. A special edition of the magazine is coming soon — a project close to my heart that celebrates creativity, community, and the spirit of adventure that connects us all.
